“BlackJack” by JourneyMan Nick DePalma is seriously cool.
Right from the start, that opening riff grabs you and doesn’t let go. And the remastered version? Crystal clear – it’s like hearing the song with fresh ears.

The rock vibe is strong here, and you can’t help but groove along. The guitar work is killer, especially that riff at the beginning. The remastering makes everything pop, so every instrument and note shines.
Nick DePalma rocks the vocals with confidence, and the lyrics add depth to the song. It’s all about taking chances, living life to the max, even when life throws you curveballs – relatable, right?

But what really makes “BlackJack” stand out is its ability to get you moving. It’s got this infectious rhythm that just makes you want to dance. So, whether you’re a die-hard rocker or just someone looking for a good time, give this track a spin. It’s a rock anthem that knows how to get the party started!

“Navigating Media’s Maze in the Toe-Tapping Groove of ‘Fake News Blues'”

Nick DePalma’s “Fake News Blues” is a earnest exploration of modern media, set to a fast-paced and irresistible groove. The song delves into the challenges of misinformation, corporate interests, and the pursuit of real news.

From the opening line, “I’ve got the fake news blues, That screams out those headlines,” it’s clear that DePalma’s song is a thoughtful reflection on today’s media landscape. The lyrics highlight the coexistence of fake and genuine news, inviting listeners to contemplate the blurred lines.

“News is Big Business, Secrets, Lies, And Tricks,” DePalma sings, shedding light on how corporate agendas can overshadow the quest for truth. The chorus, with its repetition of “Fake news Blues, It makes me sick sick sick,” captures the frustration we experience in the face of relentless misinformation.

The song’s instrumental solos, especially the emotive guitar work, add depth to the track while keeping that fast groove alive. In a subtle twist, “crisis scene dot com” is introduced as a fictitious alternative news source, alluding to conspiracy theories. This humorous element underlines how misinformation might be created.

With snippets of Donald Trump in the video, known for his frequent use of “fake news,” the song acknowledges the cultural context without endorsing any political figure.

“Fake News Blues” is a profound exploration of the media’s challenges, set to an engaging and fast-paced groove. With its insightful lyrics and emotive delivery, Nick DePalma’s song prompts us to be discerning consumers of news and emphasizes the importance of responsible journalism. So, listen, groove along, and let the “Fake News Blues” inspire you to seek truth in a complex media world.

ORGANIC MUSIC PROMOTIONS FEATURED ARTIST OF THE WEEK
Journeyman – Nick DePalma
It’s time to drop the curtain on another one of our artists of the week here in Organic Music Sharing group and we look to our neighbors to the North. There is a thriving blues scene in Ottawa, Ontario Canada, and Journeyman Nick DePalma has a lot to do with it.
I’m really excited about this one as just a few short months ago he first got in touch with Victoria, and her being the ear for talent she is quickly ushered him over to me and we have since been playing him on our show The Grey Eagle Radio Show.
Nick is a blistering blues-rock artist. He is seriously soulful and his music packs a punch. This isn’t sitting on your ass music, this is get up out of the chair, and get moving and excited kind of music. His powerful vocals wash perfectly with great instrumentation and a steady rocking beat. Nick he’s got a sense of humor, you will see it in full display in the lyrics to some of his songs. Just adds to his overall charm and package.
Nick this is such a timely and well deserved honor, thanks for making great music!! Enjoy your week — with
