JourneyMan Nick DePalma is a talented musician and artist based in Ottawa, Ontario. Originally from Milano, Italy, he moved to Canada at the age of 3 and has since developed a deep passion for music. Drawing inspiration from legendary artists like Eric Clapton, The Rolling Stones, John Mayall, Otis Redding, and Muddy Waters, Nick’s musical style encompasses Blues, Rock, and R&B.
Over the years, Nick has journeyed through the local music scene, performing at various venues in Ottawa, including the Rainbow, Whipping Post, Downstairs Club, Grand Central, and even high school coffee houses. While some of these venues may have faded into history, Nick’s dedication to music remains unwavering.
Throughout his career, Nick has been associated with different bands, including Scotland Yard, The Sugardaddys, The Prairie Mud Band, and The JourneyMen. However, he has also explored his solo career, where he writes his own songs, plays multiple instruments (guitar, bass, piano, and harmonica), and takes charge of the recording and mastering process using Garageband as his Digital Audio Workstation (DAW). His music is characterized by its raw and rhythmic energy.
Nick DePalma’s contributions to the music scene have been recognized, with a nomination for ‘Male Artist of the Year’ in the 2nd annual CFAB Honour Roll awards in 2020 and a runner-up award at Insanely Gifted Radio. He continues to learn and improve on his writing and playing, demonstrating his dedication to honing his craft and delivering music that resonates with his audience.
